Apostle Islands wins a Gold Medal at the 2013 Independent Publisher Awards!
Tommy Z and Atticus Books are Two for Two at the Independent Publisher Awards! Last year, the first entry in the ongoing Messiah Trilogy, Nazareth, North Dakota, won a gold medal at the 2012 IPPYs for the "Best Fiction: Midwest" category. And this year, Apostle Islands followed with another gold! The third book in the Messiah Trilogy, Armageddon, Texas, is scheduled for a 2014 release from Atticus -- will there be a clean sweep? Stay tuned! And STAY GOLD, pony boys and girls!

About Tommy Z!
Tommy Zurhellen is the author of two novels, Nazareth, North Dakota, the sequel Apostle Islands, as well as the forthcoming third book in the Messiah Trilogy, Armageddon, Texas -- along with numerous short stories and essays in literary journals like Carolina Quarterly, Quarterly West, Appalachee Review and South Dakota Review. He likes to write fiction because he likes to make things up. He grew up in New York City, and after moving around from Seattle to Alabama and parts unknown, he now lives in upstate New York.
He hangs out in places like the VFW and the Fish House (pictured below.) If you don't know to get to the Fish House, well, you probably don't belong there.
